Why? It seems like so many people love to spam, troll, flame, cyberbully, harass, vandalize, create sockpuppets (aka multiple fake accounts) , etc. It's really annoying because I am an administrator on the Arthur Wiki on Wikia. A fan site where you can contribute to anything you like. People have been abusing the wiki nonstop. People post false information on upcoming episodes without a source. They vandalize by removing important information and/or replacing it with profanity, spam, irrelevant content, etc. Some people (in the most extreme cases) spam, vandalize, troll, etc. with multiple identical IP Addresses. Our wiki is getting overwhelmed with all this stuff. We banned some many people and their IP Address but they keep coming back with very similar ones. Currently we banned almost 200 people within a 9 month period. I looked at over wikis on Wikia and there are not nearly as much banned people as ours. What do you think of this? Help would be nice.
