I am thinking of editing an article on Wikipedia anonymously to make a few corrections. I don't have a user account and I want to make sure that, even if it logs my IP, that this cannot be conclusively connected with me PERSONALLY. I don't have a corporate IP address, just a personal account through a very large ISP.
Would the IP addy give enough information to track back to me???
(if yes, how would such a trace work?)
Just checked on this site http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/ and it tracked me to a major intersection downtown. No info on name etc. That is really the only thing I wish to remain private. Is there any way a person can get my name given only IP?
