How can I make my own private website that is hosted on my own private computer or private network but not on the internet? How do I get started? I want it to be in a wiki format.
I would like create my own website, but I do not want to have the website be on the internet/www/etc - I would like this website to be hosted on my personal computer or private network, but NOT on the Internet. I know that I can make a "hidden" or private website and still have it be online, but this not my goal. I would like to use this site to organize my own personal information, notes, research and writing in an easy to view, easy to go through, etc - easy environment with hyperlinks, etc.... I think this would be hugly helpful to my research vs just having a bunch of files in folder... I think the best format for my purposes would be a wiki. I believe I can get everything I need to create a wiki for free from wikimedia, since its all open source and free as far as I know...
This is all terribly new territory for me... If anyone could offer any advice, guidance, links, videos, or any information at all to help me with this I would really appreciate it!
