It would be a brilliant, innovative idea. Imagine searching the internet and not being bothered by advertisements. Imagine the internet itself as a purely scientific and academic tool. (as it was in its early development)
Would something like this only be possible in a global civilization that has adopted the values of technocracy? (In opposition to capitalism for capitalism's sake; a system where the ends are built on weak principles and the means lack ethical constraints altogether)
