I want to contribute to at the moment? I was on the talk page of an article I want to add something to- I was trying to correct some misinformation about a film on there. I was trying to make a claim about something I know is correct- the other person was kind of acting as if he wanted to argue and made a claim that I know is wrong. He wanted reliable sources to back up my assertions- I didn't have time to go into that and I posted a screenshot from the film to prove something to him. He still wanted to act like what he said is true and I know that person is wrong.Of course it doesn't really help my case if the other person can't make out what I am trying to show him in a screenshot- I told him I was rushing when I made those. I read the page on Wikipedia about Wikipedia Dispute resolutions. The article said I should be cool and I could wait a while and perhaps the person will move on. I am wondering if I should post about this on the dispute resolution board, or should I just wait a while and go back to the talk page and continue to contribute stuff about the film and discuss about the film on the talk page of the article as if nothing happened? I do have some resources I can list- I can give periodical names and page numbers. He is only ONE editor- there are plenty of other editors who contribute to Wikipedia. I left a message to that editor on the talk page about his comment and false claims and said I would be back later to go back to discussing and contributing about the article when I had more time and that I have more important things to do. I can have a disagreement about something but I am not there to fight people. I still want to contribute to this article and related articles on Wikipedia I am talking about - what should I do? Please help. Thank you.
Megan- hello. I do intend on going back to that article when I have my resources together but what do you mean "move on"? Can you please elaborate? Those screenshots I made were blurry. I want to make better quality ones and list my resources.
Hi Brisray- you mean just continue to post and contribute on the talk pages of that article like nothing happened- right? I made some screenshots from a video on YouTube- that was the problem I had before - the images came out somewhat blurry. I am looking for some good movie sites to go to make screenshots from.
I would like to go back and contribute info and resources to the article, and talk about them on the talk page but that isn't a priority right now.
To the person who said I am getting "Worked up"- I am not getting "Worked up". I was on there trying to contribute info on a talk page about a MOVIE. I know something about it to be factual and the other person is wrong- he is claiming to have watched the movie and not see what I was talking about . I don't mind making contributions to articles on there- it is a free site- but it shouldn't have to be a fight to get info on there. I said I was go back and contribute info about it when I have more time to. Correcting misinformation about something like a MOVIE is not that important right now.
